Asin beats Katrina once again

Asin beats Katrina once again

A girl from down south Tamil Nadu stepped into the glam-world of Bollywood alongside Mr. perfectionist Amir Khan in Ghajini.

It seems now the gorgeous lady is planning to hit all the biggies of Bollywood starting with the top three Khans of the tinsel town. Where she is starring opposite Bollywood’s bad boy Salman Khan in London Dreams, we have heard that she would also be seen opposite Badshah Shahrukh Khan, that too under the dream banner of Yash Raj Films.

Initially it was Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif, who was going to don this role but Salman’s dushmani with Shahrukh, earned Asin this flick. It’s not the first time and first girl friend of Sallu that our Badshah didn’t wanted to work with.

Previously SRK was not even interested in working with Ashwariya Rai in Chalte Chalte and it was Rani Mukherjee who benefited from this.

Well, all we can say is that the stars are shining bright for Asin and she should make the most of it as it’s said, “Make hay while the sun shines.”

IPL Fever: Now Shah Rukh Khan feels the hea

IPL Fever: Now Shah Rukh Khan feels the heat

Shah Rukh Khan is not called the King Khan by all just like that. He may be amongst our nation’s biggest superstars but when it comes to sheer hard work he doesn’t like shrink away opting for better comforts.

A source reveals, “There is sweltering heat in Mumbai but that couldn’t stop him from shooting his IPL team Kolkata Knight Rider’s music video out in the sun at Filmcity, Mumbai. The sun was literally burning the skin and there was no shade in picture there.

In the scorching sun, without any complaints, SRK shot his music video with his team members at the helipad area under the video’s choreographer cum director Farah Khan.

It is learnt that this music video was first planned to be shot at his team’s conditioning camp at Kolkata but since IPL 2’s venue was shifted to South Africa, the whole concept of the video was changed.

The song will be the same ‘Too hot Too cool’ with some minor changes to it. No new song has been recorded this year. The music video will now also have an African feel to it with slight changes to the music. ”

Our source further reveals, “SRK plans to leave for South Africa on Tuesday April 14th for the inaugural ceremony which is going to take place on April 17th. Though he won’t stay their throughout the tournament, he will make two big visits staying there for longer periods. ”

I'm not a marriage-breaker: Shilpa Shetty

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has spoken out against allegations that she is a 'marriage-breaker', saying she started a relationship with her fiance Raj Kundra only after he got divorced.

Shilpa, 33, found fame in Britain when she appeared alongside late British reality TV star Jade Goody in Celebrity Big Brother and won the series. She met millionaire Kundra, 34, shortly afterwards.

Kundra was separated when he met Shilpa, but his estranged wife Kavita publicly blamed the actress for the break-up of the marriage.

"It actually made me feel physically ill. To be called a marriage-breaker was the worst thing possible.

It brought such shame on to my parents, and I felt so bad for their sake, " the Daily Mail online quoted her as saying.

"To be honest, I think I was in love with Raj from day one but I was in denial.

I made it clear to him that our relationship could go no further than friendship until he actually had his divorce, " she added.

The couple, who recently bought a five-million-pound, seven-bedroom mansion that they named Raj Mahal in Weybridge, Surrey, is planning to marry around October, and Shilpa says she can't wait to start a family.

"I'm desperate to start a family. I just love children, and we've a beautiful readymade nursery (in the new house). I want at least two children.

"There is already a child's bedroom in London because Raj has a nephew and I can certainly see my children running around this place.

And there is enough space for us to live at one end while Raj's parents live at the other. In Indian culture you live as an extended family and this home is perfect for that, " she added.

It's Shah Rukh v/s Salman Khan again...

Again there is a clash between our Khans but this time it is nothing personal but the box office.

Both Shah Rukh and Salman Khan’s movie is releasing on the same day, 3rd of July, Shah Rukh’s Dulha Mil Gaya and Salman’s Wanted Dead or Alive.

Both the Khans are not sharing a healthy relationship since Katrina’s birthday bash and after this it is goint to be the first encounter between the two.

Although there was a box office clash when Janemaan and Don released, but that time things were fine between both the Khans.

And this time it would be fun for us to see both the Khans coming face to face and promoting their respective films after their dust up at Katrina Kaif’s birthday on July 16.

Vivek Vaswani the producer of the film Dulha Mil Gaya said that, “My film is releasing on 3rd of July and I don’t see any trouble if Salman’s film releases on the same day as they both have their loyal fan followings.”

Karan Johar’s film runs into trouble in the US

Rumours are rife in trade circles that Karan Johar’s Rensil D’Silva directed film being shot in USA had ran into rough weather due to financial problems.

Sources reveal, “The shooting schedule of KJo’s yet untitled film starring Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi few weeks back went haywire as many dues of local production people were not cleared.

Financial trouble had erupted on the sets because of the same. But the fault wasn’t Karan’s Dharma Productions’ as it is famous for its fair deal treatment especially when shooting abroad. The person responsible for all this financial mess was the local line producer.

The line producer had committed many financial frauds in name of Dharma Productions which lead to all these problems. Because of which unnecessarily Karan’s production company got a bad name in the US.

The problems now have been sorted out and the film is almost complete.”

Not Fair: How Neil and Katrina Kaif look so gora

Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif looked so gora together on screen in Kabir Khan’s New York that one of them had to tone down the fairness-quotient.

And naturally, the chosen one was Neil. He had to use tanned makeup in the film. Laughs Neil, “All three of us Katrina, John and I are light complexioned. John had a nice dark tan during the shooting in Philadelphia. But it was a fight between me and Katrina on who was looking fairer. She used to accuse me of looking more fairer than her.”

Eventually Neil had to settle for a tan to tone down his ‘fairness’. And not just in New York. He also had to tan himself in Aa Dekhe Zara for totally opposite reasons. Bipasha being dusky, Neil had to tone down his fair skin to match his co-star’s complexion.

“In fact I’ve become used to tanning my skin by now, for one reason or another,” laughs Neil.

About Aa Dekhe Zara Neil is excited for more reasons than one. “It’s a film about seeing the future through the camera. We haven’t gone into the futuristic space at all. It breaks the myth about super-hero films. All super-heroes save the world. My character in Aa Dekha Zara is only interested in saving himself.”

As for his successful singing father Nitin Mukesh was scared Neil would let down not so much the legendary grandfather Mukesh as the equally-illustrious Kishore Kumar’s legacy.

Says Neil, “I’ve chosen to make my singing debut with a Kishore Kumar rather than my grandfather’s number which is fine by my family. We are all Kishore Kumar fans in my family.

It would’ve been one thing to take one of my grandfather’s songs and turn it around. Ghar ki baat and all that. But this was a very special responsibility, to carry another legendary singer’s legacy forward. Glad I managed it.”
